Morning after the storm

I was expecting all the leaves to be knocked to the ground but this was the view in the early light. As you can tell, in winter we don't get first light. The Rhea County side of Whites Creek Gorge hogs it all. That's fine with me because we get the views.

  3. Yeah, I do! But this is what I have worked for. I also know we have to work to protect our blessings for all time and share them.

  4. I'm also told that I'm lucky to have my home by the river and have such a view and hear the roar of the rapids. But I snap right back that I've worked at stupid jobs, scrimped and saved every penny to be able to afford this property. And I've made plenty of ennemies for years now trying to save the trees that want to grow on the shore that some of my neighbors want to cut so that they can enjoy the "view". No wonder Joni sings "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot." !

Tnanks for sharing the beauty of your world!

  5. Isn't it funny, Amie, how little some folks understand what we are trying to do and resent us for it? Those same people who want your tree cut to enhance their view would most likely think nothing of building a taller building in town that cuts off the sun to their neighbors.
