They are Sandhill Cranes. We get ten or twenty thousand through this way for winter. The Hiwassee Refuge is just 20 miles away across Watts Bar Lake from us.
We'll be looking for them, Steve, but think they're smart enough to wait for 14 inches of newish snow to melt.
