Shorter Scooter Libby Case

There has been a very strong and well orchestrated effort to confuse America on the crimes of Scooter Libby so I though I would clear it all up.

Scooter lied to Federal investigators, a criminal act, in order to cover up an act of treason, revealing the name of a covert agent in a time of war, that was most likely committed by Vice President Dick Cheney with the full knowlege of President George W. Bush. This criminal act is called "obstruction of justice" and is punishable by fines and imprisonment.

There ya go...That's all there is to it. Now you know.

The Judge in this case issued a sentence that was very close to the maximum allowed under Federal guidelines, even though Scooter had over 150 letters of support from high ranking and well connected people. One of the letters was from James Carville, who calls himself a Democratic campaign consultant. Mr. Carville does such a lousy job that he can't even convince his own wife to vote for Democrats, and now he comes out in support of a high official and WhiteHouse aid who played a part in a treasonous act.

Way to go, James. Your Country thanks you.

Fred Thompson was a big player in Scooter's disinformation program and issued any number of statements that have turned out to be false. One big one was his statement that Valerie Plame was NOT a covert agent. Fred went big on this one, even though every word of testimony in Scooter's trial said she WAS. Even Scooter's own lawyer failed to provide any witness testimony saying otherwise.

Fred is running for President of the United States. His people keep saying "He's got Honesty."

Fred was elected Senator from the State of Tennessee by parking his Mercedes a block or two away from campaign appearances and jumping in a red pickup truck so he could show up and tell people he was just like them. The red truck was rented. Fred didn't even own the thing and doesn't drive pickup trucks. His other job is as a Washington Lobbyist.

I love my state but taken as a whole, we must be dumber than wheel barrow full of mule compost to elect Fred Senator. Now we get to see how dumb the rest of our nation is.

Will they fall for Fred's mule compost about poor old Scooter Libby? Or will they fall for the supper hyped tacky tv ad for "Honest Fred's Used Pickup Truck Sales"?

Scooter Libby is a fall guy. He lied to Federal investigators in order to cover for Cheney and Bush and now we see a flaw in our Constitution that allows the President of the United States to pardon the very people who could give the testimony that would get him impeached, just like his Dad before him in the Iran Contra scandal.

So here's the Shorter version of the Scooter Libby Case:

The Vice President of the United States is a traitor...and so is his boss.

Peace,

Steve

Oh lawdy, I think we already done found that out ... we in trouble. Libby's lies were to cover a multitude of their sins - oh what a tangled web they weave when first .... but mostly to cover up the fact that they engaged our country in war for stated reasons that were completey fabricated that's why they can rightly claim they're winning -Iraq is a success. It was. It's just a matter of perspective. Lots of money was made and coming out with permanent bases in Iraq so we don't need to depend on the largess of Saudi Arabia in the future would be a bonus. If not, well, ... lots of money was made.

I'd give my left nut for a chance to slap James Carville in his fucking Mississippi River Carp face.

Huey Long was a REAL Southern politician. He would always dress well on campaign because he knew that "the small man and the underdog" always respected a man who'd done well for himself. Besides, it was what he SAID, not how he looked that was important.
