Or as I call it...Their Base

Very little has been said about the political racial vandalism directed at the Obama campaign, but it is real and it is happening. The Obama folks have chosen to turn the other cheek as much as possible.

John McCain's folks, however, were ready to play the race card by claiming Obama had "played the race card from the bottom of the deck" in a comment about McCain's "Celebrity White girls and Obama" ad when Obama said,

"So what they're going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he's not patriotic enough, he's got a funny name, you know, he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

Um, yeah...

It's a lot worse than we have heard, but no worse than we expected. We all know that part of the Republican base are racist. How large a part, we shall see as this campaign goes forward.

So far it looks like a fairly large percentage.
