Bird Blogging?

How close do they have to get before they can tell that the potted plant on the deck is a tomato? The FAA regulation says they have to stay 500 feet from a house but the "black helicopters" that fly the gorge don't adhere to that rule all that much. Gee, guys, I know it's a real trip to put on the goggles, turn out the lights, and rip down the gorge in your big black man-toy, but give me a break. I came out here for the quiet enjoyment of my property, and, like I tell the four wheelers, you are welcome here...but not with your machine.
