Blue in the Yard

Anybody know what this is?

It lives at the edge of the woods and has been blooming for a week or so. I've noticed it for two years now. Stands about two feet high and is actually a little more blue than the picture shows. I'm a moron with PhotoShop or I'd have dressed it up more.

The closest I can come in my search is a Blazing Star, which are shown as pink in my books. They are similar, though.

Here's the WCJ Joke of the day:

"Remember when Republicans, like Newt Gingrich and Bob Livingston, when they got in trouble it was for sex scandals? See Tom DeLay is in trouble for money. Or as Republicans would call it -- this is a return to traditional values." --Jay Leno

And my favorite Internet game of the moment?

"Catch a Conservative Lying"

Yeah, I know...Ain't that hard, is it? But now you have the proof!

Here's a great resource. Want to see a list of lies by particular conservative, like say Dick Cheney stating that he did not have relations with that Halliburton Stock and the proof he was lying?

This is really fun!

claim-vs-fact

Enjoy,

Steve

could also be Blazing Star (Liatris ) -- need to see inflorescence pattern and number and shape of leaves... Looks most like mistflower to me, tho (Eupatorium coelestinum)
