Who?

How about this statement:


"Believing that God created the universe in six days is a form of superstitious paganism"

Or this one:

"....creationism, whose supporters want it taught in schools alongside evolution, as a "kind of paganism" because it harked back to the days of "nature gods" who were responsible for natural events."


Now before you think I've gone off on another anti religion rant, I had better tell you that these statements came from a spokesman for the Holy Catholic Church, who also said this about the Pope himself:

"It's not like he has a magic power, that God whispers the truth in his ear," he said.

Well, sure...That would be George W. Bush, anyway, to hear him tell it. But get this...the person who actually said this was the Pope's official astronomer.
