Surprise, surprise! We have a fairly serious weather front about to hit here in Tennessee. High winds, possible tornadoes, sustained wind speeds of 35 mph with gusts up to 50...65 MPH in the mountains.

During the Republican primary campaign we got to watch the candidates fall all over themselves claiming to be Ronald Reagan reborn. John McCain can now lay claim to that dubious honor, since it appears that he is already suffering from Alzheimer's.

And to top this all off, we have another wildcat oil well blowout in Tennessee, this time very near houses in Oliver Springs. The last blowout is still not completely contained and is stil leaking crude into Clear Creek, in the Emory Obed Wild and Scenic River watershed.
